Halloween is a holiday filled with horror stories, fantastic costumes, and lots of candy all in the name of good fun. What better way to celebrate the Halloween season with some awesome new music? In no particular order, here are 10 amazing songs that will be sure to spice up your Halloween playlists.

6. COP CAR - MITSKI

From the original soundtrack of 2020’s The Turning comes the eerie track Cop Car by the famous indie-rock musician, Mitski. Cop Car is a far cry from Mitski’s other work, but that is not a bad thing in the slightest. The messy guitars and slow tensity buildup matched with Mitski’s ghostly vocals make the song beautifully eerie and strangely powerful. Great track to set the spooky mood for the season.

5. WAKE THE DEAD - THE USED

Off of The Used’s sophomore album titled Lies for the Liars came the fast paced zombie-themed banger, appropriately titled Wake the Dead. The narrator describes the beginning of a zombie apocalypse in an exciting adrenaline-filled way as the fast paced guitars guide the listener through the track. It’s a fun song from start to finish, the entire experience being fantastic for anyone that’s a fan of darker pop-punk. This terrifying tune is perfect for any Halloween playlist that needs a bit more energy.
